[Premium] The 5 Victory Types

Hey there,

So today I’m going to share another chapter from my upcoming book Micro Empires Unleashed. This chapter is on the “5 Victory Types.”

These 5 Victory types were inspired by one of my favorite strategy games, Civilization VI. The reason why I’ve applied them to modern micro-empires is because, well, in Civ, you’re building out your own empire.

What I learned from Civ, which I applied to my study of micro-empires from ancient to modern to now digital businesses, is that business-oriented “micro empires” are pretty much like city-state powers.

This often means:

1. Fast positioning

2. Highly optimized space

3. Extremely wise resource allocation

4. Strategic partnerships and alliances

5. Close proximity or connectedness to adjacent hubs

Since Civ is a game that is been based off of human history, I found a lot of similarities with what I observed (empirically) with businesses I worked with, and powers I studied throughout time.
