So yesterday I came across the following video titled “Why Sparring Is DEAD.”

What fascinated me the most is that, within professional fighting circles, the concept of “sparring” — which is essentially fighting as training outside of the ring — is now being reduced as a formal form of training for UFC fighters to boxers.

But why?

Well, essentially, it goes back to primal instincts and animal behavior.
